A while ago a friend of mine set me an article about a British man living in the US who was going from psychiatrist to psychiatrist seeking help for his moods – nobody could understand his constant utterances like ‘mustn’t grumble…not so bad…etc’. After going to several different consultants, he was finally diagnosed as being ‘clinically British’!
Many people do seem to remember the bad stuff that happens to them, but fail to remember the great things. It is all about focus.
We can either delete the positive things from our experience, or we can delete the negative (after taking the learnings!). Which you do will determine how you feel. NLP is a powerful way to do this.
Over the next few blogs, I will give some suggestions for how to shift your focus and positively change your state.
