You Can’t Learn NLP Properly by Distance Learning

That’s what I’ve always believed.

BUT only because the systems weren’t in place to teach it effectively – and also because most of the distance learning NLP courses simply are poorly put together.

So now I need to update what I say…

You can learn NLP effectively online, but ONLY if you CHOOSE THE RIGHT COURSE!

There are so many places offering NLP training now – just type in NLP into Google (which may be how you got here!) and you’ll find more NLP courses advertised than there seem to be established universities!

The question is WHY?

Well the answer is both simple and frightening! Basically becoming an NLP trainer these days is easier and quicker than learning basic plumbing skills! But the frightening thing is that with NLP you are working with someone’s mind. And that’s why quick and easy might not be the best way.

When I started in NLP becoming an NLP trainer took years of attending trainings, assisting and mastering skills. Now it has become more about how NLP can help you make money. And to tell you the truth I find it incredibly frustrating that the standard of NLP practice has become worse and worse.

Quick and easy certainly doesn’t mean best – if you went to see someone to help you with a serious problem, would you want to see someone who had attended a rapid course missing out the practice?

However, rapid courses have identified one thing that seems important:

Not enough time
