Emotions are a major influence to our behaviour. If you have ever been really tired and stressed and someone says something that normally might be a little annoying, but being in the tired state you snap more than you would normally.
If you could put yourself in a resourceful state at will, do you think that could be useful?
For example, if you are about to go for an interview, would it be useful to put yourself in a highly confident state?
In NLP, an anchor is a stimulus that gets connected to an emotional state. The principle is that any time you are in an intense emotional state, if at the peak of that state a specific stimulus is applied, the two things will become neurologically linked.
