As I was about to write this blog, I started thinking about the powerful applications of NLP In Sales. The funny thing is that every day I am on the telephone to potential students, but I never think about the calls as sales. To me, NLP has made such a huge difference in my own life, and the people I work with that I am wanting to share these amazing skills with people. So when I speak to people, I don’t come across as trying to ‘hard’ sell my trainings, but my enthusiasm for what I do comes across and I believe makes a key difference.
As for techniques that can be used in NLP and sales – building rapport is a vital skills that we teach early on in a training – when you have rapport with someone, sales becomes easy, because this essentially is the foundation of building effective relationships.
Building rapport in NLP basically involves matching and mirroring the other person – matching their physiology, words, gestures, values, beliefs and more. I had read about this before I attended an NLP training, however it was only when I experienced them on an NLP training that I really recognised how truly powerful they are.
